fishing in AlaskaEach year Doc hosts an international trip as a way for anglers to fly fish world destinations they may not fish on their own and for a fun way to fly fish away the winter blues. Past hosted trips have included such destinations as the Patagonia Mountains of Southern Chile, the Alaska Peninsula with Epic Angling and Adventure and Ambergris Caye in Belize. Doc is currently developing exciting hosted trips for 2010.

The advantage to joining Doc on a hosted trip to a foreign location is all you have to do is say you want to go. Doc will handle your reservations with the lodge, outfitters and guides, provide you with all the needed information on fishing and traveling required for that country. He will help you make international travel plans and accompany you on your trip so you get the best experience available without the headaches and hassles of planning the trip. Saltwater Trips

Dennis with his first permit! El Pescador, BelizeWading a saltwater flat in warm sunshine just off a tropical island in the winter is enough said. Belize has been the favorite saltwater destination for Doc for several reasons. Belize is known for plentiful bonefish and year round resident permit and tarpon. Belize is relatively easy to get to from the States plus the Belizean people are friendly and inviting.   Belize is a good location for us trout folks to get a solid introduction into saltwater fly fishing.  For more experienced saltwater anglers, Belize offers a plethora of sight casting opportunities for bones and year round permit and tarpon.
